Caches are the small data collections that are downloaded into your device. When you use any app in your device, like when you use Twitter in your iPhone, again and again, it will store cache in your device. This cache starts to occupy storage according to their size in your device.
A lot of apps in iOS have a similar problem where they bloat up in size due to overuse and start creating storage issues. iOS does not allow users to manually clear caches from an iPhone or iPad, that’s why you have left only one option, that is to delete an app’s data or delete the app and reinstall it.
But thankfully, Twitter for iPhone and iPad has offered a way to dump unnecessary caches and data stored within the application in iOS by using its manual cache clearing features built into the app and freeing up some space.
So, you can use this nice feature to clean cache, doing this is not so complicated, because you can do this from your Twitter app itself.

How to clean Twitter caches on iPhone and iPad

Follow the steps:
  1. Launch the ‘Twitter’ app in your iPhone.
  2. Tap on ‘Me’ tab in the bottom-right corner of your screen to open your profile.
  3. Tap on ‘small gear’ icon.
  4. Tap on the ‘Setting’ in the menu options.
  5. Open ‘Data usage’ in the Setting menu. This is at last on the list.
  6. In the storage section, there is two options are given ‘Media storage’ and ‘Web storage’ with the amount of storage they are occupying in your device.
  7. To clear media storage: Tap on ‘Media storage’ and then tap on ‘Clear media storage.’ This will remove the cached data like photo, GIF, etc.
  8. To clear web storage: Tap on ‘Web storage’ and then tap on ‘Clear all web storage.’ Doing this will remove web data such as cookies and logins.
This is a particularly nice, for heavy Twitter users, mostly after some time the twitter app has grown in size. Since manually removing those caches and data will free up some amount of space on iPhone or iPad.
